PEOPLE + PET INTEGRATIVE THERAPIES

Every Day Acupuncture For Veterinarians: Mastermind Series (Anytime Version)

This program is an 8-session mastermind series, including an orientation and 7 learning modules, created to bridge the gap between obtaining an education in veterinary acupuncture and effectively applying this modality in a clinical setting to improve patient lives every day. The protocols and processes delivered in this program are designed to help veterinarians who have already completed basic training in veterinary acupuncture take their learning and skills to the next level. The series will provide templates, quick reference guides and mentorship geared toward moving the veterinarian into action, making everyday use of acupuncture possible and efficient even if time is short and intensity is high. In the first module, participants will learn how to set the patient and the practice up for success, including systems to reduce patient stress and strategic outlines for scheduling and charging. The next four modules will focus on acupuncture strategies, from both the Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and Western science perspective, to achieve improved patient outcomes when facing common conditions that afflict our companion animals. The conditions of focus are as follows: osteoarthritis and chronic pain, canine allergic dermatitis, feline cystitis and urinary tract inflammation, and feline inflammatory bowel conditions. The sixth module is dedicated to approaching senior patients with multiple medical problems and TCVM patterns, including how to prioritize and treat the patient with a focus on comfort and quality of life. The last module is designed to help the veterinarian develop best business practices around acupuncture and the integrative medical model, including goal setting strategy, to ensure long term success and sustainability. The overall purpose of this program is to improve patient care with acupuncture while achieving a healthy return on investment for the veterinarian and the practice.
